Prince's Trust @MountainMoversEducation
Since 1976, the Prince’s Trust has worked with over one million young people, giving them practical and financial support to develop their key work skills so they can move into employment, education or training.
Prince’s Trust qualifications seek to:
Ensure learners have every opportunity to gain formal recognition of their skills and achievements
Develop qualifications that offer flexibility, choice and pathways to progression.
What is Prince's Trust Achieve?
The programme is made up through delivering a range of units and modules which contribute towards a recognised Prince’s Trust qualification and the personal, social and health education of students. All of the units help young people to develop skills in key curriculum areas, preparing them to succeed in whatever they choose to do next.
As Achieve is flexible and youth-led, we are able to tailor the combination of units according to what will most benefit our young people.
We encourage our learners to take part in our enrichment activities/days, which may take place away from our centre.
In June 2022, we visited Heatherton Activity Centre in Pembrokeshire, and took part in a sports activity day at Pembrey Country Park.
Weekly sessions are held at our centre in Rhos ( Swansea) in 10-week blocks.
As many of our young people have additional learning needs, we welcome parents into the main learning hall in a supporting capacity to their child. We also have a quiet room where those who need it can rest both eyes and ears.
